Carolyn Kay “Carol” Fair (Moore) was born October 21, 1943, in Blackwell, Oklahoma, to Orlan Hugh and Helen Louise Moore (Abernathy). She left this earth October 26, 2023, after celebrating her 80th birthday surrounded by family.

Carol grew up in Blackwell then moved to Texas in the mid-1960s, where she enjoyed a successful career in property management. She continued her career in Arizona before returning to her hometown in 1994. Carol later enjoyed a second career in the gaming industry, where her coworkers were able to enjoy her love of cooking and baking. She loved to bring big pots of soup and baked goods to share.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Elvin Fair, parents, grandparents, great-grandson, and a host of relatives and friends she held dear, including Jo and Mo – her two most beloved friends.

Carol is survived by her brother, Dennis Moore (Gayle) of Fort Worth, Texas; sister Orlene Boydstun of Weatherford, Texas; her five children: Jerry Reid (Chris) of Austin, Texas; Toni Lee (John) of Hopkins, South Carolina; Julie Reid Anderson of Edmond, Oklahoma; Shelli Reid of Edmond, Oklahoma; Shari Wittlif (Randy) of Edmond, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren: Sara, Ryan, Amber, Austin, Fred, Sam, Zachary, and Noah, 11 greatgrandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

In lieu of a memorial service, Carol’s final wish was whole body donation to help further the advancement of science and education. If you are so inclined and would like to honor her memory, please consider a donation to your local food bank, homeless shelter, or animal shelter.

Carol’s children would like to extend a special and heartfelt thanks to her caregivers, Crystal and Robin, as well as her supportive friends and neighbors: Laura, Todd, Monica, and Angelica. You all made a difference in her life these last few years, and we are so grateful. We would also like to thank Rachel and Eric with Hospice of North Central Oklahoma for the care and assistance they provided.
