The Chorale Arts Society of Northern Oklahoma (CASONO) is pleased to invite members of the community who love to sing quality music to join them in song. The first rehearsal will be on Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall of Grace Episcopal Church, 109 N. Thirteenth. Park in the lot to the west of the church and enter through the red door on the west side, nearest the parking lot.

CASONO was founded in 2006 for the purpose of “sharing, fostering and promoting the Art of Choral Music through performance.” We are thrilled to have returning Artistic Director Brandon Haynes adjunct faculty and staff at NOC and our accompanist, Connie Van Ausdall, retired Director of Music at St Mary’s Catholic Church and adjunct faculty pianist at NOC.

Membership dues are $20 for regular member and $10 for students per semester.

The Theme for the concert will be Cinematic Choral Highlights (or songs from movies) Songs will include “O Fortuna” by Carl Orff, “James Bond Theme” (from James Bond), “The Hanging Tree” (from The Hunger Games 2014), Dry Your Tears, Afrika (from Amistad 1997), “Moon River” (from Breakfast at Tiffany’s 1961), “When You Believe” (from the Prince of Egypt 1998), “Mary’s Theme” (from The Passion of Christ 2004), “It’s All Right” (from Disney Pixar’s “Soul” 2020) and “Sister Act! Brandon Haynes received his Master of Music degree from University of Central Oklahoma in 2018. He also received his Bachelor of Music degree from Oklahoma City University in 2011 as well as an Associate degree in Music and Arts degree from Northern Oklahoma College in 2007.
