It has been a busy week. I attended Holy Week services at Shidler for three days this week. Our church was responsible for a light breakfast on Wednesday. I brought a short devotional following breakfast. I was asked to perform a funeral on Friday morning for a family who lost a baby. Since Sunday is Easter, our church family will be having a sunrise service at 7:00 am with normal services to follow. This may be a busy time of the year but it is all worth it because we get to remember the death, burial, and resurrection of our risen Savior. Jesus fulfilled God’s plan for by shedding his precious blood on Calvary’s cross. God so loved our world that He provided a way for everyone to experience eternal life in Heaven. Jesus was able to endure life as a human but also to be one of the Triune Godhead. Jesus had emotions as we do. However, Jesus was willing to sacrifice his life for those who want to have eternal life. As Jesus struggled with going to the cross, He said in Luke 22:42, “...Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.” Even on the cross Jesus spoke to our need as God’s creation. Luke 23:34, “...Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do...”. Forgiveness is what was needed to eliminate this sin of the world that has existed since the Garden of Eden. Please seek forgiveness for the sin in your life. Receive Jesus as Lord and Savior. Ask the Lord to give you a new heart for service to Him. Find a place of worship when God can use you for His praise, honor, and glory.
