The 64th Annual 101 Wild West Rodeo will be held over the weekend at 23 Darr Pk Dr., Ponca City, Oklahoma.

Many new additions have been made to the rodeo arena this year. In 2022, a grant approved by the City of Ponca City and new aluminum bleachers have been installed at the rodeo grounds. Additionally, all-new ADA accessible parking, sidewalks and seating have been added to the site.

This year’s schedule for the weekend is as follows: Friday, June 9 First Responders Appreciation Night

• 101 Wild West Rodeo Golf Tournament at the Ponca City Country Club at 9 am

• PRCA Performance #2 at 8 pm

• Concert featuring Chancey Williams at 10 pm Saturday, June 10 Military Appreciation Night

• PRCA Steer Roping at 8:30 am

• 101 Wild West Rodeo Parade - Downtown Ponca City at 10 am

• PRCA Performance #3 at 8 pm

• Concert featuring Dillon Carmichael at 10 pm

coming to the Poncan Theatre

As part of the Poncan Theatre’s slate of summer activities, they will be showcasing the first three adventures of cinema’s most famous adventuring archaeologist: Indiana Jones.

The first three films will be featured on Fridays in June, all coinciding with the theatrical release of the latest film, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny opening later this month on June 30.

Those wishing to re-experience the films, or view them for the first time, will be able to do so on the following upcoming Fridays: - The first of these will begin with 1981’s Raiders of the Lost Ark on Friday, June 9 at 7 pm.

- Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, originally released in 1984, will be showing on Friday, June 16 at 7 pm.

- And lastly, 1989’s Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade will be set showing on Friday, June 23 at 7 pm.
