Steve spent the first five years of his life in Ulysses and then their family moved to Cheney, KS where he spent his childhood and graduated with honors from Cheney High School.

Joyce attended schools in Perry, Redrock, and Hunter, then graduated from high school in Marshall Oklahoma and then attended Enid Business College.

Maxine Emogene Graham was born July 12, 1924, in Fairview, Oklahoma to Charley and Alta (Horn) Graham. Maxine grew up in western Major County, attending rural schools. She graduated from Cheyenne Valley High School, where she also met her husband, and they were married right after graduation on April 25, 1943. During the early years of marriage, they lived in Clovis, NM, Perryton, TX, Woodward and Fairview, OK. In 1958 the family moved to Blackwell, OK.

Russel Ray McGhee, a veteran of the Korean War and longtime Ponca City resident, left this life on Thursday, March 3, 2022, at the age of 91. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, March 10, 2022, at Trout Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tom Howard officiating. Burial, with military honors, will follow at the Odd Fellows Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK 74601.

Madelyn Joyce (Whitlock) Harris

Madelyn was born in Kaw City Oklahoma, the youngest child of Boyd Otho Whitlock and Pearl McMillian Whitlock. She lived there until she went to college at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, OK. An active member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority, she graduated a year early with a degree in elementary education. During college, she met her husband, Floyd Renfro Harris. Madelyn and Floyd married on May 24, 1959 in Ponca City, OK. Over the next several years, they lived in Oklahoma, Colorado, Missouri and Arkansas. They were both teachers, Madelyn teaching first grade and Floyd high school math and science. In 1961, they started a family. Madelyn continued to teach when Floyd went to back to Dental and then Orthodontic school at the University of Missouri, Kansas City. Just before their fourth child was born in 1970 they settled in Fayetteville, AR and made it their permanent home.
