THE TONKAWA Police Department is proud to announce the hire of its newest full-time police officer. Latosha Warrior is a welcomed addition to the agency. Warrior resided in Marland before relocating her family to Tonkawa several years ago. Officer Warrior is a former patrol officer from the Fort Oakland Police Department (Tonkawa Tribe of Oklahoma Tribal Police Department) where she served for two years. Warrior has also dispatched for the Tonkawa Police Department and was the Fort Oakland Emergency Management Coordinator. Most recently, before her hire to full-time Tonkawa police officer, Warrior served the community as a Tonkawa Reserve Police Officer. Officer Warrior holds a CLEET Basic Peace Officer Certification and is a Certified Forensic Interviewer to which she has built relationships with the Dearing House Child Advocacy Center and the Indian Child Welfare Agency.
