Webb homers but Mavs fall short against Carl Albert

The Northern Oklahoma College Mavs dropped a pair to Carl Albert State College Monday afternoon in Tonkawa.

In Game 1, the Mavs (20-16) lost a close 2-1 game in the opener and then lost 18-5 in Game 2.

Sidney Webb homered in the seventh inning for NOC’s only run.

Lynsey Ailey allowed two runs on five hits in the circle for the Mavs.

Both teams had five hits in Game 1.

In Game 2, Carl Albert built an 11-0 lead and coasted to an 18-5 win over NOC.

Hallie Durkee and Margaret Landes had two hits each, Landes had two runs batted in.

Shay Cushenbery, Molly Myers, and Webb worked in the circle for the Mavs.

The Mavs host Connors on Thursday at 2 p.m.
