After playing three games in tournaments last week, the Ponca City varsity basketball teams have games on Tuesday and Friday this week.

Tuesday, the Wildcat and Lady Cat varsity teams are scheduled to play on the road against conference foe Putnam CIty. Friday they will be at home to play Midwest City, another conference opponent.

The Lady Cats earned two victories and finished third in their tournament experience and the Wildcats won once in the three games they played Playing in Bartlesville, the Wildcat lost their tournament opener to host Bartlesville 85-48. They bounced back to defeat Hirschi of Wichita Falls, Texas on Friday and then lost to Southmoore 67-48. The tournament champion was Class 5A No. 1 ranked Carl Albert.

The Lady Cats opened with a 49-45 victory over the Oklahoma Storm in the Chickasaw Nation East Central Classic in Ada. In the tournament semifinals, the Lady Cats dropped a 41-35 decision to host Ada and then in the third-place game Saturday defeated Byng 41-38, The Lady Cats boosted their record to 4-7 while the Wildcats are 3-8.
