ADA -- The Ponca City Lady Cats basketball team is scheduled to participate in the Chickasaw Nation East Central Oklahoma Classic beginning on Thursday.

The Lady Cats are scheduled to open the tournament with a game at 1 p.m. Thursday against the Oklahoma City Storm.

Other teams in the event are Hugo, Byng, Westmoore, Durant, Ada and Ardmore.

Should Ponca City win in the game with the OKC Storm, they would play the winner of a game between Ada and Ardmore at 7 p.m. Friday. Should they lose the would play at 1 p.m. Friday. The tournament concludes Saturday.

Ponca City goes to the tournament with a 2-6 record. The wins were over Tulsa East Central and Shawnee.

Westmoore vs. Durant, 10 a.m. Ponca City vs. OKC Storm, 1 p.m. Hugo vs. Byng, 4 p.m. Ada vs. Ardmore, 7 p.m.

Loser Hugo-Byng vs. loser Westmoore-Durant, 10 a.m. Loser Ponca City-Storm vs. loser Ada-Ardmore, 1 p.m. Winner Hugo-Byng vs. winner Westmoore-Durant, 4 p.m. Winner Ponca City-Storm vs. winner Ada-Ardmore, 7 p.m.

Games Saturday

Seventh place, 10 a.m. Fifth place, 1 p.m. Third place, 4 p.m. Championship, 7 p.m.
