ARKANSAS CITY -- Former Ponca City Lady Cat basketball player Baylee Fincher recently joined elite company by becoming only the third Cowley College Lady Tiger basketball player to reach 1,000 points in a career.

Fincher, who surpassed the 1,000 career point plateau in a win over Northwest Kansas Tech on Jan, 28, joins Theresa Cotton (1,160 points) and Ann Marie Smith (1,090 points) as the only Cowley women’s basketball players to reach the century mark.

A two-time all-conference selection, Fincher is averaging 14.1 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 3.1 assists in her third year at the school.

Fincher (1,025 career points) had seven regular season games and at least one postseason game to try and break Cotton’s career scoring mark.

She is a 2020 graduate of Po-Hi and was a four-year starter for the Lady Cats.
