OKLAHOMA CITY-- Ponca City wrestler Christopher Kiser earned a repeat state championship Saturday at the Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association Class 6A State Tournament in the State Fair Arena.

Kiser outpointed Beric Jordan of Stillwater 4-3 to win the 113-pound title. The two had wrestled in the East Regional a week earlier with Jordan coming out on top. Jordan was ranked No. 2 nationally.

Three other Ponca City wrestlers placed in the Top four in their weight categories. Gabe Roland was third at 215 and Preston Lee was fourth at 132. In the girls tournament Ponca City’s Adisyn Ivers was fourth at 145 pounds.

Roland closed out his high school career having qualified for the state tournament all four years and finishing in the top four the past three years.

As a team, the Ponca City boys finished sixth with 45 points. Stillwater was the team champion with 191 points, Edmond North second with 190, Bixby, third with 147.5; Westmoore fourth with 53, Broken Arrow fifth with 45 and Ponca City, sixth.
