The Ponca City varsity basketball teams are scheduled to play to games this week. Tuesday the Wildcats and Lady Cats will play Oklahoma Big ponent Choctaw at Robson Field House. The girls game is scheduled to begin at 6 pm. Friday both teams will travel to Shawnee for games there.

Both teams earned their first wins of the season at tournaments last week.

The Wildcat boys team finished third in the Blue Sky Bank Tournament in Cleveland. They defeated Daniel Webster of Tulsa 63-43 in the opening round. The WIldcats were edged 71-63 by Metro Christian of Tulsa in the second round but came back to defeat Cleveland 81-57 in the third place game Saturday night.

In the Tahlequah Invitational, the Ponca City Lady Cats defeated Tulsa East Central easily, 54-28 on Saturday. Before Saturday’s win, the Lady Cats lost 64-42 to McAlester and 45-39 to Muskogee.
