Washington D.C. can’t become a state. Nobody asked me. Did they ask you? We own it. It was delegated to be neutral and our seat of government. Alaska and Hawaii were different. We didn’t own them.
Each time I’ve been to D.C., I was told it was ours and referred to as “the peoples’”. I never bought a ticket to see government in action.
