Vernon Elwood Bush Jr., age 57, passed away peacefully at Ponca City Nursing and Rehab Center on March 6, 2024. Vernon was born in Ogdensburg, NY on November 29, 1966, to Vernon and Alberta Bush. He grew up in Lisbon, NY and moved to Ponca City in the early 80’s. Vernon was a Custodian for the Ponca Public School. He enjoyed spending time with his friends, nieces and nephews. His hobbies included fishing and hunting with his late brother Keith. Vernon is survived by his parents, Vernon and Alberta Bush, his sisters Tammy Emery and Donna Bush and many nieces and nephews. A special thanks to Justin and Reba Bush, Sherry Jenner, and close friends John, Janelle, and Tommy who provided exceptional care for him. Vernon was preceded in death by his brother Keith Bush. Vernon’s absence will be felt deeply by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.

The family would like to thank Hospice of North Central Oklahoma for the care given.

Services will be held at Kildare Baptist Church 11:00 am on Monday, March 11th, 2024.
