Beloved youngest sister of nine, daughter of Nellie and Elbert, Verla Vee Hull was born in the Oklahoma panhandle on April 5, 1929. A graduate of Gage High School in 1947, she left her Public Service job and traveled to Texas in 1951 to help her sister set up a new home. It was there she met her future husband, Gene Sigle working in the oil fields. After a quick marriage, the couple went on to a life of adventure, traveling with his field crew, building a family and finally settling down in Ponca City, Oklahoma. For over 50 years, Verla and Gene Sigle did well moving and traveling together on the road.

A Dust Bowl survivor, artistic talent, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Verla thrived in her home life. Creating a comfortable space for her three daughters and eventually their families. She loved becoming a grandmother and creating fun summer adventures and art projects for her grandchildren. We are proud to remember her as a sewing guru, a brilliant homemaker and a perfectly manicured beauty. Verla made us better and stronger human beings, pushing us to be our best inner and outer selves. At the age of 90, Verla Vee Sigle passed on to her next adventure on December 25, 2019 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She will not be forgotten.

A funeral ceremony will be held at the Trout Funeral Home Chapel in Ponca City, Oklahoma on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to Clarehouse at clarehouse.org .

Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory. paid obituary
