Sharon Ann Hess (Moehle, Simmons) Hedinger departed this earthly life on May 1, 2021 at the home of her daughter in Owasso, OK after a long battle with cancer. She was born on July 28, 1943 in Wichita, KS to Cecil and Cleo Hess.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Carol Waddell and her aunt, Nadine Hess.

She is survived by her daughter, Terri Mullin, of Owasso OK, son, Brian Todd Simmons, of Canton TX, grandchildren, Jason Mullin of Tulsa, OK, Joshua Mullin of Bartlesville, OK, Loren Simmons of Austin, TX and Avery Simmons of Austin, TX. She is also survived by her lifelong friends of over 73 years, Bonnie Runyun and Jan Heaton.

Sharon moved to Ponca City with her parents when she was 2 years old. At the age of 3 she met her lifelong friends, Bonnie and Jan. She worked for Conoco Oil for 20 plus years with most of those years spent in the Reservations Dept. Sharon had always wanted to be a nurse so at the age of 42 years she left Conoco Oil to attend nursing school at Tulsa Community College in Tulsa, OK. She graduated at the top 5% of her class. Sharon went on to be an oncology nurse for 26 years.
