Ronald Wayne Bell, 73, of Ponca City, OK, left this life on January 13, 2023, in Tulsa, OK. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, January 20, 2023, at First Baptist Church, with Rev. Michael Taylor officiating. The family will greet friends at the church immediately following the service. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W. Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK, 74601.

Ronald was born on February 10, 1949, in Ponca City, OK, to Wayne Dale and Doris Ilene (Robertson) Bell. He married Joleen Rozell on January 25, 1969, at Longwood Baptist Church. Ronald joined the United States Army and served for over twenty years, retiring with a rank of Major. He also had a long career at Conoco and other oil & gas companies, where he most recently worked as a safety coordinator. He had been a member of the Conoco Fire and Safety Rescue Team.

Ronald was deeply committed to his family and a life of Christian service. Upon retirement he devoted much of his time to volunteering on a construction team with the Texas Baptist Men. He loved to travel with his wife Joleen and visited many locations in the United States and beyond. He also enjoyed bird watching, photography, fly fishing and woodworking.

Ronald is survived by: his wife, Joleen, of the home; son, Chad Bell and his wife, Christine Feiner, of Chicago, IL; daughters, Kari Bell of Alma, MI and Alison Haley of Snyder, TX; grandchildren, Owen Batcheller, Reid Haley, Truett Haley and Foster Haley; siblings, Doug Bell and his wife, Carol, Sharmi Williams and her husband, Larry, Jani Gallagher and her husband, Gary, David Bell and his wife, Janice, and Jacque Bell; in-laws, Deanna and Lynn Varner; and many nieces, nephews, family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
