On Wednesday July 20,2022, Rick Edge beloved son and brother passed away at age 63.

Rick was born on April 18, 1959 in Stillwater Oklahoma to Arlie and Billie Clyde (Emerson) Edge. He earned a Bachelor Degree of Science in Geology from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater in 1985. He spent many years as a uranium exploration geologist after enjoying a very successful sales career. Rick was married to Kathy Sharp on July 12,1980. Later in life Rick resided with Ms. Mary Otero.

Rick had a passion for geology. He also loved the outdoors. He combined his favorite things in many wonderful camping trips and fossil/rock collecting adventures, particularly in New Mexico which he loved. He amassed a wonderful collection of fossils, rocks and minerals which will be cherished by his family members. He loved his dogs (Denver Mud, Eidelberry, Mo and Pita). They were his constant companions and a great source of joy throughout most of his life. He liked to raise fish and had several beautiful aquariums over the years. Rick loved music and was an accomplished violinist in his youth. While in 8th grade he was awarded 11th chair in the Georgia All State College Orchestra. His was fond of classical music his entire life. He also loved Model A Fords and made a lifelong project of one. Rick was known for his humor, sharp mind, his infectious smile and his kind, compassionate spirit. Rick was a gentle soul.

Above all Rick loved his family. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Lloyd and Ella May Edge and Clyde and Willie Emerson. He is survived by his parents Arlie and Billie Edge, his sister Debra and her husband, Gary Scott, brother Russel and his wife, Karen Lynn Myers Edge. He was especially fond of his niece, Jessica, and his nephews Matt, Garett, Trent, Stephen and their families. Additional surviving family include many cousins, grand nephews and grandnieces. A gathering in remembrance will be announced at a later date.
