Rickey Lee Ritter passed away at his home in Blackwell on July 13, 2022. Rick was born on December 12, 1964, in Wichita, Kansas. Rick grew up in Kansas and moved to Oklahoma after serving in the Army National Guard. He worked in construction for several years, then moved to Osage County, OK, where he helped care for his family’s and neighbors’ cattle. Rick enjoyed hunting, fishing, machine work, tinkering on old tractors and visiting with his neighbors.

He is survived by his mother, Susie Klufa of Ponca City; father, Richard Ritter and wife, Susan, of Elk City, Kansas; sister, Marie Coffman and husband Mike, of Ponca City; brother, Michael Shane Ritter and Carrie, of Ponca City; sister, Sheryl Wade and husband, Tom.

Rick’s other family members are: nephew, Michael Clinton, wife, Chelsea, and children, Bradey and Karlie; nephew, Joshua Clinton, Emily, and children, Maddox and Colt; niece, Ashley Peterson, husband, Michael, and son, Thorsten; niece, Bethany Lawe, husband, Chris, and children, Aspen and Aubrey; nephew, Richard Ritter, and Hollie; nephew, Michael Steven Ritter; nieces, Kelsa Wade, Tosha Seller, and Monique Wade; cousins, Rex Eshelman, Bill Ritter and Joe Ritter.

Rick was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Catherine and Arthur Harris, fraternal grandparents ; Edna and Lonie Ritter; brother, Kevin Ritter and special parent, Doug Klufa.

The family would like to give special thanks to his friends in Blackwell, Greg Osborne and La Nell Horton.
