Richard Michael “Mike” Chance, 62, of Ponca City, went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 15, 2022. Mike was born on September 13, 1959, the son of Merrill C. Chance Jr. “Ace” and Lois Margaret Chance.

Mike was a welder and pipe fitter for years. He was a huge OU football fan. Mike absolutely loved telling stories and jokes. He was an animal lover his whole life. He and his wife Kathy enjoyed their horses, goats, dogs and cats.

Mike and Kathy loved living on their land and riding around all the back roads in his big Blazer.

He had many friends that he had lifelong memories and good times with and he loved being with his grandkids!

Mike and Kathy have been together 25 years.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Ace and Margaret Chance.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Chance, and only brother, Merrill C. Chance III and wife Vickey of Houston, TX, his daughter Jackie Pyle and husband Eli, his grandchildren, Tanner, Keagen, Delilah and Asher, and his two nieces, Jennifer Mangelinkx and her family and Kimberly Richard and her family. He is also survived by his Aunt Patsy Myers as well as cousins on both sides.

There will be a celebration of life on Wednesday, July 20, at Attucks Community Center on S. 12th Street in Ponca City at 2:00 pm.
