Ralph Ruel Brewer left this earth and met his Heavenly Father on July 2, 2022. Viewing will be from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, July 7, 2022, at Trout Funeral Home & Crematory. The family will be present from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A Funeral Ceremony will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, July 8, 2022, at the First Baptist Church, with burial immediately following at Odd Fellows Cemetery. Ralph was born on April 22, 1928, in Fifty-Six, Arkansas to Willie and Bertha Brewer. Ralph accepted Jesus Christ as his Saviour during a revival meeting at Onie Baptist Church and was baptized soon after. After the death of both of his parents, at the age of 10, Ralph moved to Ponca City with his 2 brothers and 5 sisters where he attended Ponca City Schools. Ralph enlisted and served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He served in Germany as a Private First Class in the 40th Tank Battalion, Fourth Infantry Division. Upon returning from Germany, he served in the Army Reserves from which he was honorably discharged. Ralph married the love of his life, Lucy Ellen Moody, on September 10, 1954, in Ponca City. Ralph and Lucy were blessed with 2 sons, Willie A. (Rick) and Denny L.; as well as, 3 grandchildren, Jordan, Jared, and Jennae.

Ralph worked in various professions before he began working and retired from Conoco after 28 years. Ralph loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Ralph was ordained as a deacon on August 6th, 1966 at the Broadway Missionary Baptist Church and was a founding member of the church, where he fulfilled the roles of Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, and other offices within the church. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Stillwater, OK and recently was a member of First Baptist Church of Ponca City.

Ponca City. Ralph loved to graft trees and work in his yard. He also loved to socialize with his many friends and family. He enjoyed visiting with his retired co-workers at the local donut shop. Ralph looked forward to the Brewer Reunions and reminiscing about days past. Additionally, he treasured the kinsmanship he received with his wife’s family, the Moodys, and enjoyed their periodic get-togethers. He cherished the many phone calls and cards from friends and family.

Ralph is survived by his son, Willie Aric (Rick) of Katy, TX, Denny Lee and his wife Diana of Bartlesville, OK as well as his 3 grandchildren Jordan Lee, Jared Levi, and Jennae Elise. He is also survived by his sister Dene Fredricks of Oklahoma City and his many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 66 years, Lucy Ellen Moody Brewer and his parents Willie and Bertha Brewer. Also, his siblings, Gladys Ramsey, Madgie Brewer, Letha Hicks, Coy Brewer, Retha Moore, Goldie Martin, and Joe Brewer.
