Neal S. Paisley, 82, of Arkansas City, KS went to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, August 21, 2020. Funeral services have been scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 26, 2020, at the First United Methodist Church. Reverend Stephanie Wall-Brown and Pastor Ryan Nichols will officiate. Friends may greet the family 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home and Crematory with social distancing guidelines in affect. Cremation will follow the service.

Born June 19, 1938 in Ponca City, OK to Ezra Stuart Paisley and Vincie (Cole) Paisley. He graduated from Ponca City High School in 1956. After that, he attended Oklahoma University and graduated with his Pharmacy degree. He married Anna Mae Lamb on August 29, 1959 at the Evangelical United Brethren Church in Ponca City, OK.

After finishing his degree, Neal and Anna made their home in Arkansas City, KS where he worked for Albert Clemente at Albert’s Drug Store, now Taylor Drug, until he retired. In retirement, he remained active in the healthcare field by volunteering many hours for the hospital auxiliary.

Neal was heavily involved in his church, the First United Methodist of Arkansas City, where he sang in the choir and was part of the United Methodist Men’s Group for many years. Neal and his wife, Anna Mae enjoyed square and round dancing. They started dancing in 1983 and enjoyed attending national conventions and local dances around the area. Neal and Anna Mae also loved to travel and enjoyed many trips together. Some of their most memorable trips include an Alaskan Cruise, Yellowstone in the winter, and the Albuquerque Hot Air Balloon Festival. He loved all sports, football, basketball, car racing, you name it. He was a big OU Sooner fan, but he was an even bigger fan of his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He attended and cheered them on in all their sporting events and activities.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 61 years, Anna Mae Paisley of the home; daughter June Solomon, and husband Kurt, of Arkansas City KS; daughter Cara Eaton, and husband, Randy, of Clearwater KS; Three grandchildren, Bryce Scott, and wife Talia of Winfield, Shelby Scott, of Wichita, and Carson Solomon, of Arkansas City; two great grandchildren, Tayten Blatchford, of Wichita, and Haisley Scott, of Winfield. He is also survived by his sister, Ann Brown, of Edmond, OK;

He was preceded in death by his father, Ezra Paisley and his mother Vincie Paisley.

He will be remembered for his kind heart and friendly nature, as a devoted and loving family man, and for his contagious smile.

A memorial has been established for the First United Methodist Church or Alzheimer’s and Similar Diseases. Contributions may be made through the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home and Crematory. Online condolences may be made at www.rindterdman.com.
