On Monday, March 21, 2022 Nancy Louise Finn, incredible mother of 5, loving wife, grandmother, nurse, daughter, sister, aunt and friend, passed away at home at the age of 65.

Nancy was born on August 30, 1956 in Blackwell, Oklahoma to Don and Colleen Schiltz. Nancy was one of 9 children in her family. Her parents were farmers and the whole family was very involved in Saint Marys Catholic Church. Nancy graduated from Ponca City High School in 1974. Nancy and her siblings enjoyed helping on the farm, especially during the summer taking care of the garden and helping her mom can produce. Nancy graduated from UCO with a nursing degree. She worked at OU women’s clinic as a registered nurse and manager for 43 years where she also gave countless hours of volunteer work. She was beloved by her coworkers and helped guide many nurses and residents through their time at the clinic. Nancy met her husband of 41 years, John Finn during her time at UCO. They fell in love and married August 21, 1982. They raised five incredible sons together.

Nancy’s greatest passion in life was her family. She loved loading up the car and going on family vacations and lake trips. She loved giving to others and her family. She was the first person awake in her house and the last person home for the day. Even after a full day of work, Nancy came home and made sure everyone was fed and cared for. She was incredibly proud of her five boys and her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She spent countless hours in gyms and stands videotaping and watching her kids play sports. Nancy loved hosting family birthdays and getting family together to celebrate any occasion. She loved getting together with her siblings and cousins for any family wedding to dance the night away. She was a social butterfly amongst her family and loved getting the family together. Nancy also enjoyed reading, cooking and watching John clean. There was never a day Nancy didn’t put her family and loved ones first.

Nancy was a faithful Catholic. She was a member of St. Marks Catholic Church in Norman, Oklahoma. She valued raising her family in the Catholic faith and ensured her kids spent time serving as Altar Servers and being involved.
