Marion I. Kelly, age 72, passed away on February 10, 2022, at her home in Golden, Colorado. She was surrounded by family in her final days. Marion was born on November 21, 1949, in Ponca City, Oklahoma to Archie and Elinor Neese. Marion is a past Trailblazer Saddle Club rodeo queen and was a baton twirler in the Ponca City Big Blue Band. She graduated from Ponca City High School in 1968 and attended Oklahoma State.

In the ‘70s, Marion settled in the Denver area. Prior to her retirement, she worked nearly 40 years in the real estate industry.

She enjoyed skiing, golf and was a huge sports fan. Marion’s favorite athletic teams were Oklahoma University, Oklahoma State University and the Denver Broncos. She was a member of Denver’s Pinehurst Country Club.

Marion is survived by her husband Jon Lund; son Tracy Kelly, his wife Charla and granddaughter Breah; and son Travis Kelly. Marion is also survived by three sisters, Sherry Diebold and her husband Dennis, Nancy Heck and Janet Hunt, and several nieces, nephews, cousins and many lifelong friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brother-in-law Ronald Heck and nephew Archie Todd Myers.

A celebration of Marion’s life will take place in Denver. The celebration will be announced at a later date.
