Loretta Fay Ramsey, 86, was called to her eternal resting place on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. at the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Ponca City, Oklahoma. Dighton Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater is entrusted with arrangements.

Loretta entered this world on March 26, 1937, in La Crosse, Wisconsin to Russell and Mildred Clinton. Loretta attended school in Blackwell and graduated in 1955 with no absent days for the whole 12 years.

She married Norman Meadows in 1955 and had one daughter Terrie Lynn. She later married Raymond Ransey on October 10, 1958, and they had one son Darryl Ramsey. Loretta started working at age 13 at West Dyer Furniture Store in Blackwell, was at First National Bank for 20 years and Conoco for 20 years and then at Pioneer Bank for 12 years retiring at age 70. She also was a substitute teacher for 3 years. She was a member at St. Pauls Methodist Church. Her hobbies were making all her clothes, dancing, fishing, hunting, and mostly camping and her tomato garden. They raised a lot of animals, chickens, pigs, horses, cattle, mules, and dogs. They also farmed for a few years and sold watermelons, tomatoes, and pecans. After retiring they spent 6 weeks in spring and 6 weeks in the fall fishing at Broken Bow Lake where they met many new friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband Raymond, daughter Terry Westerman, her parents, and her brother Ronnie Clinton and one infant brother.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son Darryl and wife Kim Ramsey, sister Pat Sodowsky, grandson Lane and wife Megan Ramsey, and great grandchildren Wendy, Kendall, and their families, as well as her adopted family J.R., Heather, Taylor Hurd, Holly Wallen, Ryleigh, Kinslee whom she loved very much and enjoyed all their get togethers, holidays, birthdays etc. Loretta enjoyed being with her family and others, Lou Ann and Don Wright, Gary Williams and family, Kathy Smith and boys and a lot of other aunts and uncles. We will all meet again someday.
