PONCA CITY - Larry D. Brickey, 67, formerly of Ponca City, Oklahoma died July 16, 2023, in a Missouri hospital, of natural causes. He was born in Ft. Smith, Arkansas on February 9, 1956, the son of Neal and Juanita, nee Page, Brickey.

The family moved to Ponca City, Oklahoma in 1959, where he graduated from high school in 1975. Larry held a variety of jobs, including pest control specialist, car salesman, and factory worker. For at least the last 12 years of his life, he was a patient at the Apple Ridge Care Center in Waverly, Missouri, due to severe mental illness.

Larry was preceded in death by his brothers, Gary Don Brickey (1954) and Danny H. Brickey (2022) and his parents, Juanita and Neal Brickey (1978).

He is survived by his son, Neal, daughter, Kimi Leah, sisters, Peggy (Alvis) Lampe and Linda (David) French of Ponca City, Oklahoma, and brother, Jerry (Colleen McDonald) Brickey of Rockford, Il., as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Larry’s family is grateful to the Apple Ridge Care Center of Waverly, Mo. for their care during the last years of his life.

A memorial service is scheduled for October 21, 2023 at 2 PM, in the Carolyn Renfro Event enter, 445 Fairview Ave., Ponca City, Oklahoma.
