Kenneth L. Shepherd, resident of Ponca City, passed away November 1, 2023.

Kenneth was born July 23, 1948 to Norman and Betty Lou (England) Shepherd in Woodward, OK. He graduated from PoHi in 1966. On November 15, 1967, he joined the United States Army until his honorable discharge October 15, 1971. During this time, he was stationed in Okinawa and Turkey. After the service, Kenneth built storage tanks, then soon went in to residential and commercial construction with his specialty in trim and finish carpentry. During his free time, he enjoyed restoring old cars and making wood furniture. He married Joy Davis in 1966 and to this union, his son Todd was born. On February 12, 1977, he married Pamela K. Knutson in Sioux City, IA. They lived in Iowa for 22 years and returned to Oklahoma in 1998 to be closer to family.

He is preceded in death by his parents Norman and Betty Shepherd; his grandparents; brothers-in-law Jack Craig and Billy Yates; and mother-in-law Pat Marti.

Kenneth is survived by his wife Pamela; son Todd Shepherd; sister Patricia Yates; brother N. G. Shepherd Jr; Joy Sanders (mother to Todd); and several nieces and nephews.

Per Kenneth’s wishes, there will not be no services.
