The beautiful and vivacious Kathryn E Manning passed away on October 8, 2022, at the age of 75.

She was born in Bloomington, Indiana and moved to Southern California in her youth. As a teenager in the 60s and 70s, she drag raced VWs and altered wheel base cars with her brother as the Twin’s Racing Team. Kathy held records at Orange County Raceway, the Fontana Drag Strip, and Irwindale Raceway and won a 1965 Sting Ray Corvette. She also raced and held records on 500/750cc Kawasaki 3 cylinders motorcycles.

Kathy moved to Oklahoma in the mid 70’s and became a charter member and obedience instructor in Pioneer Kennel Club/Kay-9 Dog Training Club, where her dogs earned multiple AKC titles and certificates. She was also active in the Schooner’s Car Club with her 1965 2 door Chevrolet Chevelle Station Wagon, driving it in parades and car shows. She was more likely to have her hands in an engine then a stove and was a true car whisperer and could tell you what was wrong with your vehicle with uncanny accuracy.

Kathy worked as a civil servant for the US Post Office while providing for her daughters. She loved to garden and had a creative spirit that constantly had her building projects around her house in Ponca City, Ok and even becoming a content creator on social media with her daughter Kim.

She was predeceased by father Leroy A Brinson, mother Wynona F Brinson nee Woodall, brothers Leroy A Jr and Donald A Brinson and is survived by daughters Kelli Miller, Kimberly Manning, and Beth Johnson, brother Bill Brinson, ex husband Thomas Manning, grandchildren Emily Miller, Cooper and Slater Johnson and beloved pets AKC registered service dog Foxy Lady and cat B.
