Jeff Morgan passed away on April 28, 2023. He was born April 26,1979 to Richard and Wanda (Klinger) Morgan in Billings, Montana. He spent his early years in Farmington, New Mexico and Oaji, California where he loved playing baseball. The family later moved to Ponca City where he would complete his schooling in the Ponca City Public Schools system as a member of the class of 1997. Upon moving to Ponca City Jeff was able to further develop his love of the outdoors by helping his Grandpa Morgan farm and hunting with family and friends.

Jeff became a father in 2000 when his daughter Bailee was born. In June of 2002 he married Jennifer Doughty. They have 3 children together, Hunter, Hailey and Makenna. In 2021 he was upgraded to Grandpa with the addition of his Grandaughter Rainie to the family.

Together with his parents and brother they operated Beaver Express Freight Company for many years. He later took to the road working for Mach 1 Construction, Crete Carrier and most recently Drisco. He spent many seasons coaching softball at Kids Inc and later the Rec Plex. Jeff always joked that after all those years playing baseball he never thought he’d end up coaching softball. He enjoyed hunting, Sooner football, Dodger baseball and being a “Super Trucker” with his dog Ella which he affectionately called ‘Roadmutt”.

Jeff is survived by his wife Jennifer. Children Bailee, Hunter, Hailey and Makenna Morgan. Son in law Gage Wathor and Granddaughter Rainie Wathor. His mother Wanda Morgan and brother Brad Morgan. Memorial contributions can be made in Jeff’s honor to the Cowley County Humane Society in Winfield, Ks where his trucking companion Ella was adopted from.
