Jeffrey Arthur Lieb, Sr., 68 years young, resident of Ponca City, Ok, passed away Sunday, September 27, 2020, at O.U. Medical Center in Oklahoma City, OK. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory.

Jeffrey was born on May 27, 1952, in Pawnee, OK to Henry Arthur Lieb, Jr. and the late, Beulah Evelyn (Cries For Ribs) Lieb. He was raised in Ponca City, OK. He was married to Lavonna Biggoose on July 10, 1976, in White Eagle.

The family will have a service at Willow Springs Ball Park at 5:30 PM, September 29th and 30th, 2020. The evening services are on September 30, 2020. The family is calling all Steelers Players, both former and current to the 50 yard line for one last chant “Who Are You?”, “What You Gonna Do?” to send Coach home. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM at the Ponca Tribal Cemetery on Thursday, October 1, 2020, with B.J. Miner officiating. Jeffrey attended McK

inely School in Ponca City. Proceeded on to college at Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkawa and OSU, where he obtained his degrees in Education.

Over the years, Jeffry began his career with the City of Ponca City as a traffic engineer, continued on to serve his Ponca People as a Youth Outreach Mentor and served as the Ponca Tribes Higher Education Department Program Director. He took pride and joy serving and talking to many people through dedication and inspiration in gaining their education. All the while, becoming on of the most respectable coaches within the Ponca City community. Coach had a passion for teaching and guiding children of all ages to strive to be the best they can at whatever it is they wanted in any sport and life in general. Coach proudly carried that title for 36 years when he began coaching his children and grandchildren. he touched many lives and became an icon and legend in the sports industry. It was his passion to teach, not only his children, but all children, the fundamentals in life. When his inspiration of wise words would eventually be life changing for some, if not most. His love for sports; basketball and football was his life. His favorite teams were NBA Boston Celtics, NFL Pittsburgh Steelers, and of course, his beloved OU Sooners.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Lavonna Lieb, of the home; children, Darcie Renee Lieb and husband, Mike Page, Sr., Sonja Swan Lieb and Husband, Jason Payne, Jeffrey Arthur Lieb, Jr. and wife, Alexis, Derek Anthony Lieb, Amber Dawn Lieb and husband, Justin Melius, all from Ponca City; grandchildren, LaVera Marie, Autumn Sue, Darin James, Michael Don, Jeffrey Arthur, III, Lance Solon, Marli Shea, Evelyn Jade, Ambrya Maree, Miiwasa, Harper Grace and Aniyah Shea, all of Ponca City; grou great-grandchildren; father, Henry Arthur Lieb, Jr. of Ponca City; two brothers, Kinsel Vaugh of Ponca City and Stephen Montegomery of Tonkawa; sister, Rose Marie of Tonkawa and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Beulah Evelyn; brother, Gregory “Cougar” Conrad; sisters, LaVera Mare and Pamela Sue; grandparents, Henry Irvin and Josephine NoEar Lieb, Sr. and one niece, Daniella

Casket bearers will be Jeffrey A. Lieb, Jr., Michael Page, Sr.,Justin Melius, Darin J. Roy, Michael Page, Jr.,and Jeffrey A. Lieb, III.

Honorary casket bearers will be Derek A. Lieb, Burton “B.J.” Minor, Wesley Ganies, Sr. Wesley Hudson, Richard “Nipsey” Hudson, Sr., Robert Martin, Sr., Ernee Bales, Juan Jones, and Leroy Enloe.
