Ike Clifford Daniels, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away on Monday, April 27th at his home in Ponca City, Oklahoma. He was 85.

Ike was born on February 19th, 1935 in Mineral Wells, Texas to Alex and Mary Daniels. He was a graduate of Polytechnic High School in 1953 then served in the United States Air Force as an Airman First Class. He began his 36 year career with Conoco in 1957 and retired in Ponca City in 1993. After retirement, he found his passion project: restoring an old barn to house horses for his grandchildren and raising Texas Longhorns at his ranch in the Osage. One of his favorite pastimes was Saturday mornings at McDonalds with his friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alex and Mary Daniels; brother, Fred Daniels; and sister, Dorothy Massengill.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Daniels of 55 years; his children, Sydney Baker, Darren (Lisa) Nichols, and Debbie (Mike) Donovan, and former son-in-law David Baker; grandchildren, Ryan (Shawna) Nichols, Jordan (Chad) Previch-Nichols, Kelsey Nichols, Haley Nich-ols, Derek Baker, Emilee Baker, Brian (Abigail) Donovan, and Katherine (Matt) Carter; great-grandchildren, Karlie Nichols, Mackenzie Nichols, Madison Smith, and Noah Donovan; and sister, Adabelle Hambrick.

The family wishes to acknowledge with deep appreciation the many expressions of love, concern, and kindness shown to them during this time of bereavement.

At Ike’s request, no services will be held.
