Harold Pulis, Jr. of Newkirk passed away Friday, June 3, 2022. He was 78 years old. He was born on August 7, 1943 in Alpena Pass, Arkansas to Harold Hospers Pulis and Mary Elizabeth (Neff) Pulis. Harold attended school in Clearwater, KS. On July 26, 1963 he married the love of his life, Patricia Lee Skinner who preceded him in death on January 12, 2017. They were married for over 53 years and were finally reunited after five years. They made their home in Mulvane, KS where they raised their family and later moved to Winfield, KS before retiring to Newkirk, OK.

Besides being an incredible dad, he worked as a paint and body man in the automotive industry. When the kids were smaller, he worked at Branine Chevrolet in Mulvane and in Winfield worked at Bodkins and Kline Motors in the body shop. He was known all around as one of the best paint and body men in the state. He loved to restore old cars and often jokingly considered himself an artist. When his own kids became old enough to drive, they all had a custom car to drive while in high school.

Every summer the family took a road trip vacation to Arkansas and Missouri. And once the kids were grown, they often packed up for the weekend and took road trips. Visiting wineries became a retirement hobby. As well as being incredible grandparents.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Mary, wife Patricia, brother Bill Pulis, sister-in-law Alverta Pulis, and sister-in-law Carol Pulis.
