4/30/51 4/22/23 Georgia Mae Singletary of Stroud, OK, passed away Saturday, April 22, 2023.

Georgia Mae Singletary was born in Wichita, KS, on April 30, 1951 to George and Dorene Bohon. Georgia was the oldest of 4 children, she was big sister to 3 younger brothers, Jimmy, David and Paul. Dorene later married Dean Stolhand, and the family made their home in Ponca City, OK.

Georgia was raised in Ponca City and attended public schools there. She spent her childhood on the front pew of Faith Tabernacle church, where she found her love of faith and music. She later went to beauty school and worked with her mother at Dorene’s beauty shop on S. Perry St, in Ponca city.

Georgia married Vernon Sisco and they had Vernon Eugene “Gene” Sisco And Tammy Dorene Sisco. The couple later divorced.

In 1995, Georgia met the love of her life, Neal Singletary. They married in 1997 and made their home in Stroud, OK. They had 25 wonderful years together.

Georgia loved to listen to her brothers sing and play music when they were growing up and carried her love of music through her whole life. She found joy and comfort listening to all kinds of music, but especially loved country gospel music. She was known to give it her all when singing karaoke.

Georgia loved people. She never met a stranger and loved to laugh and tell stories with old and new friends alike. She loved playing card games and board games but her favorite game was Wahoo. No matter what game she was playing, it was the people she enjoyed. She was also a talented artist who painted beautiful landscapes and still life paintings.

Most of all, Georgia loved her family. She loved being Aunt Sissy to her nieces and nephews and Nanny to her grandkids. She was so proud of them, and they always knew she was their biggest fan.

Georgia was preceded in death by her parents, Dean and Dorene Stolhand, George Bohon, and brothers, David Bohon and Paul Bohon She is survived by her husband, Neal Singletary, of the home, brother, Jimmy Bohon, of Ponca City, son, Vernon “Gene” Sisco, and wife, Jenifer, of Arkansas City, KS; and daughter Tammy Sisco-Martinez, and wife, Jeralyn, of Guymon, OK. Grandchildren, Logan, Summer, Ambrosia, Anthony, Blake, and RyAnn, numerous Great-Grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 6th, 2023 at the Faith Tabernacle, 501 S 5th St, Ponca City, OK, at 2:00 PM
