Frank Edward Rodd, 71, died December 5, 2022 in Ponca City, Oklahoma. Born to Samuel E and Elma E Rodd in Albuquerque, New Mexico, he attended schools in New Mexico, Hawaii, & Missouri before the family settled in McAlester, Oklahoma. Frank joined Boy Scouts of America as a Webelos and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout before graduating from McAlester High School in 1969. He then enrolled at Northeastern Oklahoma A & M College, earning his Associate in Arts degree in 1971.

Frank met the love of his life, Susan Mechelle Parkhurst, while they were in high school. They married in 1971 and moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma where Frank opened Omnigraphics, his landscape photography studio, and Susie worked as a legal secretary. The recession took its toll on the business and the marriage, and they divorced in 1975. Frank moved to Stillwater and attended Oklahoma State University, earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology in 1979. He never stopped loving Susie.

Of all the jobs Frank had during his life (rock picker, amateur actor, photographer, DJ, forklift operator, waterbed store manager, car salesman, security systems installer, industrial chemicals salesman, Conoco lab technician), his favorite was being Assistant Director & Acting Director of Stillwater Personal Contact Service, a 24-hour telephone crisis intervention program.

Frank is survived by his sister and brother-in-law Leona and Stacy Blakemore, sister Karla Rodd, his second wife of forty-one years Jan of Ponca City, nephews Clyde Edward Wilkins and Matthew Roop, and nieces Christa Hessen, Veronica McIntyre, Megan O’Brien, and Meredith Roop. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Mary Louise Roop, and niece Jessica Clowdus.

Frank is interred at Tecumseh Cemetery in Tecumseh, Oklahoma.
