Eudene “Dene” Stacy (88), wife, mother, Granny, friend, and inspiration to all. An amazing woman who could have done anything, but she chose to love her husband and raise her family – devoting everything to them. She was born April 6, 1934, in Onia, Arkansas, to Marvin and Ezia Fletcher, and peacefully went home to be with the Lord on November 22, 2022. On November 6, 1952, she married Robert John “Bob” Stacy. They began their lives together in Ponca City, OK, where they started their family. Later, they moved to Odessa, Texas where they raised their children, and then retired in the Lake Texoma area. Within the past few years, they moved to Edmond, OK to be with family.

Dene greatly enjoyed devoting her life to being a wife and mother. She spent her time cooking, reading the Bible, gardening and crocheting. Many were the recipients of her creations – from blankets and scarves, to canned preserves and fruitcakes. Dene dedicated time to Bob’s Electric, their family business. She was the first voice heard and kept everything running smoothly. Bob wouldn’t have been as successful as he was, without his “Sally Jane”.

The greatest pleasure in her life was being with family and she touched the lives of four generations. Her blessings were her children, Robert Dale Stacy (and wife Rita) and Karen Stacy Hall (and husband Tom), all of Edmond, Oklahoma. She was Granny to her grandchildren, Stacy Doughty (and husband Brian) of Pampa, TX, John Haynes of Victoria, TX, Krystin Roush (and husband Jason) of Edmond, OK, and Kaleb Hinkel (and wife Kiley) of Mustang, OK. God shared “Granny” with us for a little while, and she is now an angel to protect her Great Grandchildren: Kenzee Doughty, Ashlyn Land, Noah Land, and Baby Hazel Ray Hinkel, to be born in March, 2023. In addition, she is survived by her brother, Jay Fletcher (and wife Melissa) of Ponca City, OK, numerous nieces, and nephews, and many others who called her “Granny”.

Granny is also remembered with love by her extended family including grandchildren, Phillip Clark (and wife Laura) of Minneapolis, MN, and Christy Abel (and husband David), of Salcha, Alaska, Misty Zink (and Toby Baldwin), and Monte Blatnick (and wife Tammy) all of Weatherford, OK, and Marcus Hall (and Angie Caler) of Piedmont, OK; 21 great grandchildren, and 15 great-great grandchildren.

Dene was predeceased by her beloved husband, parents, her brother, Ancil Fletcher, and daughter Deanna Haynes.

The Stacy family wishes to express their appreciation to the loving staffs of Interim Hospice of Oklahoma City and Villagio Assisted Living of Oklahoma City.

Please join our family in remembering her life at a memorial in the Chapel of Baggerley Funeral Home, Edmond, OK, at 11 am, on December 10, 2022, with Pastor Brian Doughty officiating. A lunch will follow. Because their love was everlasting, Bob’s wish was that their cremains be buried together. So, on a day when the grass begins to turn green and flowers bloom, their Interment will be scheduled at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Ponca City, OK.
