Ernestine Petty, 90, passed away on December 21st in Fairfax, Oklahoma.

Ernestine was born in Ponca City to Lucy M. Ware (Dyson) and Ernest W. Ware on February 16, 1930.

Ernestine lived 2 years in Glendale, Arizona where she graduated high school.

She returned to Ponca City and met and later married Glenn L. Petty on April 21st, 1949 in Sedan, Kansas.

She is survived by her children Glenna Wiles, Norma Tucker of Ponca City, Ron and David Petty of Chelsea, Oklahoma, Deanna Kappers of Farmington N.M., and Theresa Schmidt of Louisiana, her siblings David C. Ware of Arkadephia, AR, Sue Bridges of Winfield, Kansas and Charlotte Jones of San Marcos, Texas along with numerous grand children, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her siblings Patricia, Richard, Nancy, and Beverly Lynn. Her husbands Louis Israel and Glenn Petty.

Mrs. Petty worked for Henson’s Carpet and Drapery and later had a custom drapery business of her own. She loved her flowers and birds and the season’s changes.

She was laid to rest in Longwood Cemetery on December 30th in Ponca City.
