Charlie was born on October 28, 1932, in Oilton, OK. She was the only daughter born to Charlie and Bessie (Woodin) Wimsett. She had 5 ornery brothers, who looked out for her and teased her at the same time. She attended Vadaway school and later, Oilton Public Schools. She graduated in 1950, and married the love of her life, Bill Mock, and joined him in Amarillo on the Air Force base. Keith and Janelle were born there. They were headed to Boeing in Wichita to find work for Bill. As luck would have it, they had a flat tire in Tonkawa, and Bill found work there. He soon opened his flooring store, which Charlene helped with every step of the way. Two more children were born to this union, Joyce and Kennon. They raised their family in Tonkawa until they moved the flooring store and family to Ponca City.

Charlene worked side by side, building the business, Mock Fashion Floors, which is still family owned. They purchased many motor homes and busses over the years, and travelled to all 50 states, and Canada. In 1995, they retired and turned the business over to their daughters, Janelle and Joyce. They were able to motor home for several years until Bill’s health prevented them from doing so. Janelle and Joyce would describe their mom as an independent, fiery red-head, who was full of life.

Charlie was an active member of Community Christian Church and Soroptimist International. She enjoyed going to the Senior Center and spending time with her daughters.

Charlie is survived by: daughters, Janelle Moreland and her husband, Ray, of Ponca City, OK, Joyce Edwards and her husband, Ken, of Ponca City, OK; six grandchildren and 14 greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by: her husband, William Mock; sons, Keith Mock and Kennon Mock; parents, Charlie and Bessie Wimsett and all of her brothers.

We want to thank all the girls at Renaissance for the patience and love shown to mom. Thanks to the Angels Nurses for all their care and time spent with her. Thanks to Humanity Hospice for their kindness and care, even though it was a short amount of time they spent with her.

Pallbearers will be Dylan Williams, Brady Ladner, Riley Ladner, Mike Watson, Breck Ailey, Danny Edwards, Brandon Ailey and John Yuran.

The family requests you dress casually. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Community Christian Church, 2109 W Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK 74601, or Humanity Hospice, 1109 N Bryant Ave #100, Edmond, OK 73034.
