Bonnie Louise Newlin (Powell), age 85, passed away on April 30, 2023, in Broken Arrow, OK, from complications of Alzheimer’s Disease. Bonnie was born on August 1, 1937, in Newalla, OK, to Lee Edward and Edith (Sickler) Powell. Bonnie married Larry Newlin on December 23, 1955.

Bonnie loved gardening and had the prettiest yard on the block. She also loved working on Word Search books, all the way up to her passing. She, along with her sister Mary, went to Perkins Restaurant regularly where she would give out dollar bills to all the children there. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and a precious soul to all who knew her.

Bonnie is survived by her son, Terry Newlin, and wife Mitzi, of Ponca City; her daughter, Janice Potts, and husband Paul, of Broken Arrow, OK; and three grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Barbara Lyons of Springfield, OR, and Mary Fisher (her “twin”) of Ponca City. She was preceded in death by her husband Larry, her parents and siblings.

The family will hold a private memorial service.
