Body

Billy A. Suter, age 87, previously of Oakley Kansas, Wichita Kansas, Kaw City Oklahoma, and lastly Hot Springs Arkansas, passed peacefully with his loving daughter Jennifer by his side.

Billy spent many years in banking in Wichita and was president of the Kansas State Bankers association for a year in the seventies. Bill retired from banking in 1989 as President of Fidelity Saving Association of Kansas.

Bill was always proud of his service time with the Air Nation Guard.

Bill had many loves in life but two main ones were fishing and boating, Bill constructed a 12 foot fishing boat as a project for wood shop class as a senior at Oakley high school. Forty years later Billie and his brother Don built a 38 foot house boat the “Kaw Tiki” which still roams Kaw Lake as the spirits move her. It sometimes takes lots of spirits.

Leaving to mourn is his daughter Jennifer and her husband Patrick Palmer of Kansas City; Sisters Edith Clark of Oakley, Shirley Jenning of Phoenix; Brother Don (Peggy) Suter of Kaw City, OK; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents John E. Elda (Walz) Suter; Stepmother Marie (Zigl) Suter; Sisters Betty Lee and Gladys (Quinton) Overson.
