Betty Daily, February 15, 1984

Betty Lou (Dorris) Daily was born on July 26, 1931 in Ponca City, Oklahoma, to parents Ralph Charles Dorris and Edna Ella Dorris. Betty was sister to three brothers: Ray, Ralph, and Jerry Dorris. She was sister to Novella (Dorris) Bussey.

Betty met Donald Edward Daily at Ponca City High School. Betty and Don married September 23, 1950. Betty and Don raised two daughters: Cynthia (Cindy) (Gene Schwartzman) and Cathleen (Cathy) (Robert Stirewalt). The couple also raised a son Chris (Sally). Betty was grandmother to five grandchildren: Ruslyn (Stirewalt) Bevill (Chuck Creppel) of Ponca City; Amanda (Schwartzman) Capella (Mario), Daniel Schwartzman (Amy), Darcy Schwartzman, and Jack Daily, all of Aurora, Colorado. Betty was great-grandmother to seven children. Betty was known as Mimi to all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Betty’s career was a significant focus in her life. She began working at First National Bank on May 3, 1950, earning several promotions including Assistant Cashier (1967), Customer Service Director (1969), Assistant Vice President (January 2, 1982), and Vice President (October 15, 1985). Betty retired from her banking career December 30, 1994.

Family who paved Betty’s way to heaven include parents, Ralph and Edna; husband, Donald; siblings, Ralph, Ray, Jerry, and Novella; and beloved daughter, Cindy Schwartzman.
