Amelia Joyce Blueback, “Na-Ka-Tu”, 78, resident of Oklahoma City, OK, passed away on January 18th, 2024. Following the noon feast, a funeral ceremony will begin at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at the Ponca Indian Baptist Church with Pastor Brandon Kimball officiating. Burial will immediately follow at the Ponca Tribal Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W. Grand Ave., Ponca City, OK, 74601.

Amelia was born September 16th, 1945, to Martin Blueback, Sr. and Inez Blueback in Pawnee, OK. She was a proud member of the Ponca Tribe of Oklahoma from the Níkąpąsną Clan. She enjoyed going to watch the Shinny games every year, going to powwows and snacking and playing BINGO. Getting her hair and nails done every Friday. Most of all she enjoyed being with her family.

Amelia is survived by: her only daughter, Wynonna Runsabove of Oklahoma City, OK; only surviving sibling, Rose E. Blueback of Oklahoma City, OK; grandchildren, Tommy West and Matthew Gunner, Sage Runsabove of Norman, OK, Bryant and Cherokee Runsabove of Norman, OK, Brock and Monique Runsabove of Norman, OK, Bryce and Erika Runsabove of Yukon,OK; great-grandchildren, Diona, Honor, Annabelle, Alexia, Anthony, & Nancy Runsabove; as well as, many nieces and nephews (and one on the way) that she loved very much.

She is preceded in death by: sons, Matthew and Michael Runsabove; grandson, David Hill Jr.; parents, Martin Blueback, Sr. and Inez Blueback; brothers, Martin Wayne Blueback II, Norman Blueback; sister, Ernestine Blueback; nephews, FrankIie Hadley Jr., and Royce Toineeta.
