Aaron Donald “Donnie” Williamson, 83, of Newkirk, OK, left this life on March 29, 2023, surrounded by his family. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, April 10, 2023, at Trout Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W. Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK, 74601.

Donnie was born on April 13, 1939, in Newkirk, OK, to Worthy and Helen (Huffman) Williamson. He attended Newkirk High School with the class of in 1957. Donnie married Carolyn Smith on June 25, 1971, in Ponca City. He worked in various industies before settling on welding. He was a skilled pipeline welder for Conoco before retiring in 1996.

Donnie was a man of many words. He was a daily fixture at the Newkirk Bakery, spending hours swapping stories with old friends. When he wasn’t visiting, he enjoyed wood working, reading his Bible, cooking with his wife and working in the garden. He also loved fishing, especially with his grandchildren Donnie is survived by: his wife, Carolyn of the home; son, Donnie L. Williamson and his wife, Laura, of Shidler, OK; daughter, Jenny Murphy husband, Tad, of Corinth, TX; son-in-law, Marlin White of Newkirk, OK; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; sister, Sarah Bain, of Newkirk, OK and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Helen and Worthy Williamson; daughter, Laurie White and sisters, Peggy Barnett and Connie Goodno.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Oklahoma, 445 Fairview Ave, Ponca City, OK 74601.
