The fourth annual Tonkawa Film Festival has wrapped with this year featuring a record number of filmmakers from across the country and internationally.

This year’s selections include 35 short films, including seven international films, across six different genres including drama, comedy, horror, documentary, animation and music videos.

The two-day event saw the first block of screenings held at 6 pm on Friday, April 14 at Wilkin Hall on the NOC campus. This was then followed by a parade held through downtown Tonkawa in the morning on Saturday, April 15, with the second block of films beginning at 4:30 pm.

Each block of films was capped off by a Q&A with the filmmakers, providing audiences with the opportunity to gain insight into each film’s production.

Following the second block, the awards ceremony was held at 9 pm. Winners were presented with custom plaques. The categories were divided into each genre shown, as well as awards for Best Oklahoma film, Native American film, Family film, and Student film.
