There is going to be a Sock Hop on Sunday, August 28, 2022 at the new Pavilion at First United Methodist Church corner of 7th and Oklahoma, Ponca City, OK. Everyone is welcome to come enjoy the music. Bring a chair and your jitterbug shoes! A poodle skirt (or not). Or just come and listen. The music will start at 6:30 p.m. and will rock the tunes of the 40s, 50s and 60s. Instrumentalists include Ryan Burkett on drums and vocal, Kevin Roe on saxophone, Larry Lenhart, lead and rhythm guitar, Ron Wimmer on bass guitar and Debbie Rue on keyboard. Singers include Kate Branstetter, PoHi Senior, Abby Davis Tonkawa High Senior, Suzi Lenhart and Carroll Rue. If the weather is too hot or rainy, the dance will move to First United Methodist Fellowship Hall. Be There or Be Square!!
