The Regal Inn is a locallyowned hotel that was established in 1996. Previously, it was known as the Super 8 Motel, but converted to a private property in 2011 when the name was changed to the Regal Inn.

This business has been owned, managed and operated by the Patel family for almost 25 years. Steve Patel, Founder, and his wife worked at various motels in the Dallas, TX area as receptionists and housekeepers until they saved up enough initial capital to embark on their first and only business venture. They purchased the Regal Inn property(formerly known as the Super 8 Motel) and their children have since grown up in the Ponca City area.

Regal Inn’s long standing mission statement is “To provide exceptional service and comfort to all by creating a family-feel environment.”

The hotel is located at 301 S. 14th St. and is close to historic downtown Ponca City. They have 40 available guest rooms and do accept online reservations and walk-ins. Amenities, details and services can be found at www. regalinnponcacity.com.

“The Regal Inn is proud to serve industries, contractors and refinery workers by offering long-term stay deals and benefits. We appreciate the city of Ponca City hosting the Motocross events and the new family this brings,” said Regal Inn Founder, Steve Patel.

“We also have locally sourced cable and internet services through Sparklight and our family is a major supporter of the local youth sports community,” added Patel.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, major challenges were created for the Regal Inn as travel was limited across the state and the country. The economy was struggling and the various restrictions hotels would need to employ in order to operate in such an environment made things a bit more difficult for the hotel industry.

In August of 2020, in the midst of the pandemic, the property started major renovations on the guest rooms, exterior and lobby. In efforts to assist the local workforce during these difficult times, local contractors were hired for the renovation work. Newly, renovated rooms are now available.

All employees have kept their jobs during the duration of the pandemic and the Regal Inn would like to send a special shout-out to thank all the front line workers during this time because their efforts are extremely appreciated!
