A-Tech Paving of Oklahoma City has entered a contract with the City of Ponca City to reconstruct pavement on Prospect Avenue from 14th Street to 350 feet west.

Phase One of the project is scheduled to begin on Monday, April 5, 2021. During Phase One, the westbound lanes of Prospect Avenue from 14th Street to 350 feet west will be closed. Traffic will be detoured north on 14th Street to Knight Avenue, then west on Knight Avenue to Fifth Street, then south on 5th Street back to Prospect Avenue. The eastbound lanes of Prospect will remain open during the Phase One portion of the project. The total contract time for the Phase One work is 20 calendar days.

Phase Two of the project will not begin until after the Phase One work is complete and the westbound lanes are opened back to traffic. The current estimated start time for Phase Two is the last week of April 2021, dependent upon how weather affects scheduling. During Phase Two, the eastbound lanes of Prospect Avenue from 14th Street to 350 feet west will be closed. Traffic will be detoured north on 5th Street to Knight Avenue, then east on Knight Avenue to 14th Street, then south on 14th Street back to Prospect Avenue. The total contract time for the Phase Two work is 25 calendar days.
