Through Jan. 3 to April 3, the Ponca City Library is holding their adult winter reading challenge. For the next three months, Ponca City Library is offering the community a chance to win prizes for reading.

The rules to this challenge are simple: register for the challenge, read books that complete the winter reading checklist, and be entered to win prizes. Some of the prompts include reading a book with a recipe in it, a book about another culture, a book set in a place where it snows, and more. Many of these prompts revolve around the winter time and will broaden your reading.

The prizes include a tote bag for those who read three books and a beanie, plus an entry to win the grand prize, to those who read all six. . Physical books, E-Books, and Audio Books are all acceptable forms of reading and will count towards the six book goal.

The Ponca City Library is constantly holding events for the community. From their story times to their crafting clubs and even their Dungeons and Dragons club, they offer a variety of different activities to Ponca City. Even if this reading challenge is not for you, don’t rule out Ponca City Library for your next source of entertainment.

Whatever your reason to read, if you are looking to get a jump start on your 2023 reading goal or trying to fulfill your New Year’s resolution to read more, this is a great way to start and win prizes at the same time.
