July 15, 2023 Traffic Stop - At 3:22 am, a traffic stop occurred at Arby’s. Officer #50 took Jesse Hernandez, 2003, into custody for DUI.

Accident - At 10:53 am, a two vehicle accident occurred at Prospect and Union, with one vehicle on its side and the subject was trapped inside.

Check for Wanted - At 10:55 am, Malcolme DeRogers was at 6:12 N. 2nd and had warrants. Officer #48 took DeRogers, 03/1982, into custody for his Kay County warrants, and new charges of assault and battery on an officer, resisting, and obstruction.

Theft/Shoplifting - At 3:19 pm, the reporting party requested an officer in reference to theft in the area of 906 E. Broadway.

Reckless Driver - At 6:14 pm, Kay County requested assistance in the area of Highway 77 and White Eagle in reference to a driver swerving all over the roadway in a white 2009 Ford Fusion. Vehicle was seen northbound, then on 14th from South Avenue.

Fight in Progress - At 7:56 pm, the reporting party advised her two adult sons are outside physically fighting in the front yard at 222 N. Osage.

Accident - At 10:43 pm, a one vehicle accident occurred at Lake Ponca on the private side, no injuries. Accident occurred about one and a half miles from Hubbard, directly behind Field Stone Trail on Snake Road. A report was taken.

July 9, 2023 Disturbance - At 12:10 am, the reporting advised of three to four people yelling and possibly fighting at Lake Ponca Campgrounds. Things were quiet on arrival. The reporting party was unclear on whether the subjects were fighting or being loud.

Disturbance - At 1:22 am, the reporting party advised that his wife would not calm down and had a knife. Officer #34 took Michael Gideon, 1969, into custody for domestic assault and battery.

Intoxicated Pedestrian - At 3:03 am, the reporting party advised there was an intoxicated subject passed out on the stairs at 315 E. Hazel. An officer took Marcella Morgan, 1959, into custody for public intoxication.

Suspicious Person/Vehicle - At 11:08 am, the reporting party requested an officer in reference to possible squatters at 515 N. 3rd.

Disturbance - At 12:49 pm, the reporting party requested an officer to check the area of 734 N. 3rd in reference to a motorcycle, with no tag, that kept speeding by.

Burglary - At 2:28 pm, the reporting party in the lobby requested an officer in reference to a stolen firearm from 612 McFadden.

Suspicious Person/Vehicle - At 3:39 pm, the reporting party advised of a gray haired mail with a ponytail wearing khakis, a gray shirt, and backpack looking into the reporting party’s backyard through the privacy fence. Officer #42 took Ponca Warrior, 03/1977, into custody for Kay County warrants.

Theft/Shoplifting - At 5:44 pm, an employee at The Buckle requested an officer in reference to multiple subjects shoplifting and left northbound in a silver Nissan with a black hood on 14th. Officer #32 took Jacey Kennedy-Livingston, 11/1978, for larceny from retailer, conspiracy to commit misdemeanor, and possession of stolen property. The officer also took Aaron Coxwell, 11/1978, into custody for larceny of merchandise from retailer, conspiracy to commit misdemeanor, and possession of stolen property.

Man with Weapon - At 6:05 pm, a male was being held at gunpoint by another male in the plot at Aldi’s. Problem half was going to a silver Chevy 3600 with a Kansas tag 244RYR. A female was walking to the truck. The victim was walking toward the old Long John Silver’s. Another reporting party advised the victim got in a black BMW and went eastbound on Prospect.

Vandalism - At 6:33 pm, the reporting party requested an officer in reference to a neighbor that shot a bb gun through their window at 708 N. 4th. Juvenile was issued a citation and released to a parent.

Disturbance - At 7:22 pm, the reporting party requested an officer in reference to a male wearing an orange cap, gray sleeveless shirt, and torn jeans. Subject was screaming at everyone that was passing by at 3305 N. 14th. Officer #30 took Joseph Gonzalez, 07/1991, for public intoxication.

Reckless Driver - At 8:16 pm, a silver Buick with the tag EKD348 was swerving and running red lights at Hartford and Pecan. Last seen westbound on Hartford. The reporting party called back and advised the subject went into the Homeland parking lot, then southbound on 14th.

Check for Wanted - At 11:25 pm, the reporting party advised of a subject with warrants at 1st and Highland. Officer #38 took Joshua Shrewbury into custody for Kay County warrants.
