May 19, 2023 Disturbance - At 2:30 am, a 911 reporting party advised someone tried to break in about an hour ago at 302 S. Elm. A male tried to crawl through a doggie door, subject was wearing a gray sweatshirt, last seen southbound on Osage on foot. Officer advsied the reporting party did not want a report.

Traffic Stop - At 8:58 am, a traffic stop occurred at Martin, Jean, and Jackson. Officer #18 advised the driver was driving under suspension (DUS). Vehicle was released to a licensed passenger.

Reckless Driver - At 9:07 am, the reporting party advised of a red SUV swerving and yelling at a male wearing jeans that was walking on the sidewalk at Grand and Oak. Last seen southbound.

Fight in Progress - At 11:08 am, the reporting party on 911 advised of a fight in progress with unknown weapons at 1513 N. 7th. Officer #34 took a 16-year old juvenile for domestic assault and battery.

Reckless Driver - At 3:20 pm, Officer #24 advised of a red Camaro and a dark Chevy truck that were racing at 5th and Williams. Officer made contact with the 16-year old and 17-year old juveniles and spoke to both about racing their parents’ and grandparents’ vehicles.

Theft/Shoplifting - 3:35 pm, the reporting party advised of a white male wearing a red hoodie, jeans, white sneakers, a black hat, and a backpack that was about to leave on the grocery side of Walmart. Male pushed one of the managers on the way out and left on a black bike with red wheels. Subject cut through the ditch on the east side and went into Green Acres. Officer located male at JW Cobbs. Officer took Shane Fredrick, 11/2003, into custody for petit larceny and possession of paraphernalia.

Stolen Vehicle - At 4:45 pm, the reporting party requested an officer in reference to his Chevy Silverado that was stolen several days ago. The reporting party advised that the subject that stole it abandoned it in county jurisdiction, the vehicle was located and returned to the reporting party.

Field Interview - At 5:37 pm, a field interview was conducted at O’Reilly’s. An officer took Cassandra Algeo, 10/1989, for city larceny warrant.

Burglary - At 8:44 pm, the reporting party requested an officer in reference to a possible public order violation and burglary at 425 S. Palm. The problem half was not on scene. Officer took Jimmie Mefford, 3/1998, into custody for public order violation.

Suspicious Person/Vehicle - At 9:54 pm, an employee at Dollar General on 729 N. 14th requested an officer check behind this business in reference to multiple subjects acting suspicious. Employee advised they were lingering and customers were uncomfortable. Both subjects were wearing hoodies. Subjects were field interviewed and advised they were waiting on a ride.
