Four players from Ponca City and one from Blackwell attended the Northern Oklahoma College Girls’ Basketball Camp for Grades 1-3 June 27-29.

Attending the camp from the Ponca City area Oakley Campbell, Joslie Miller, Addi Lee, and Avery Sattre and attending from Blackwell was Emmy Wooderson.

NOC Lady Mavs Head Coach Greg Krause, assisted by NOC players Keely Hussey, Landri Hussey, Maddy Wehrenberg, and

Nevaeh Taylorran the three-day event.

According to Krause, the focus was on introducing basic skills such as dribbling, passing, defensive and varied offensive skills. Lowered goals were used to teach shooting fundamentals.

On the final day, campers demonstrated their skills for their parents. Each girl received a T-shirt, a regulation size basketball and a certificate of completion.
